Records Division

Responsibilities & Services

The Records Division is staffed 24-hours per day, seven days a week, including holidays, in order to provide service to the community and support to the Beaverton Police Department. Yearly, the Records Division issues over 9,100 case numbers, processes over 57,000 reports, processes over 20,000 citations, and has over 94,000 interpersonal contacts with community members.

The Records Division is responsible for a myriad of tasks, including processing police reports and citations, facilitating report requests, fielding questions from the community, and providing crucial research information to officers and detectives. In completing these duties, they are charged with maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of all cases via approval processes for the release of information, archives, and data entry.
