Mobile Response Team
As an extension of Y2K preparations, the Department assembled and trained a 24 person Mobile Response Team to respond to crowd control situations, whether a demonstration or unruly protest. Team members are equipped with special less-lethal impact weapons and chemical agents, and are trained for mobile field force operations to quickly quell civil disturbances of medium to large proportion. The Team complements the full range of services the Department seeks to provide to the citizens of Beaverton.
