Exclusion Trespass Agreements
Through this program, businesses and rental property owners may empower police to act as their agents for excluding individuals from business establishments, and nontenants from common areas of rental complexes.
This program is believed to be the only one of its kind in the state, and has a database that keeps track of excluded people. The program provides a valuable service to apartment managers and business owners in deterring criminal activity by providing officers authorization to exclude individuals who display unwelcome behaviors on their property. Volunteers will be actively involved overseeing this program and soliciting interest from businesses and apartment managers. In addition, officers trained in the concept of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) will perform on-site reviews of property and make suggestions on how to deter criminal activity and create a safe environment.
